As a Theatre Assistant, you will play a vital support role within surgical teams.Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Supporting the Surgical Team – Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses with preparing the operating rooms.Maintaining Sterility – Ensure that the theatre environment, equipment, and instruments remain sterile to reduce infection risks.Cleaning and Disinfecting – Clean the theatre after surgeries and prepare it for the next procedure. Handle clinical waste.Inventory Management – Monitor and restock supplies.Assisting with Patient Positioning and Transfer – Safely transport and position patients on the operating table, ensuring comfort and preventing injuries.Skills and ExperienceYou will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. You will also need to be flexible and have the ability to work a rotating roster.You will also bring:Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required.Excellent patient and customer service focusRequirementsMust provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 monthsRamsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.To ApplyAll applications must be lodged online.
