Senior Finance Business Partner with telecommunication experience required for a State Government-owned entity

Your new role
As the Senior Finance Business Partner – Telecommunications, you will lead the financial operations of the Telecommunications Group. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you’ll provide strategic financial advice, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and support executive decision-making across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and technology projects. This role has two direct reports; Project Accountant & Finance Analyst.
Your duties will include
- Leading financial management, compliance, and reporting
- Overseeing capital program budgeting, forecasting, and commercial oversight.
- Providing financial modelling and analysis for investment proposals and business cases.
- Supporting strategic workforce planning and organisational change.
- Participating in tender evaluations and contract reviews.
Conducting financial risk assessments and ensuring compliance.
- What you'll need to succeed
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently studying).
- Experience in telecommunications or high-tech environments.
- Strong financial modelling and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably TechnologyOne) and Power BI.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Ability to manage change, drive process improvements, and lead a team
