Experienced Occupational Therapist required for this Northern Territory hospital. You will join a team of clinicians and cover the following caseload (the split would be close to 80-90% community).
Terms
* Late January/early February for 2-3 months + possible extension.
* Return flights covered and free accommodation.
* Community focus 80-90% caseload.
Community
* Generalist with paediatric experience (higher paeds caseload).
* Paediatric assessment to support accessing NDIS early intervention (ADOS trained preferred).
* Adults generalist (equipment, home modifications).
* Aged care (equipment, home modifications, MyAged Care experience preferred).
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families (preferred).
* Experience delivering specialist outreach services to remote communities (preferred).
* Must be confident working with minimal support.
Hospital
* Generalist with hand therapy experience.
* ED – hands/head injury.
* Ward subacute with 2 x rehab beds (predominantly stroke, fractures).
* Paeds ward – developmental assessments.
* Outpatients hand therapy.
Skill requirements: Experience of working with Aboriginal clients preferred. 85% of the caseload is indigenous, with 50% coming from remote communities.
