Experienced Occupational Therapist required for this Northern Territory hospital. You will join a team of clinicians and cover the following caseload (the split would be close to *****% community).
Terms
Late January/early February for 2-3 months + possible extension.
Return flights covered and free accommodation.
Community focus *****% caseload.
Community
Generalist with paediatric experience (higher paeds caseload).
Paediatric assessment to support accessing NDIS early intervention (ADOS trained preferred).
Adults generalist (equipment, home modifications).
Aged care (equipment, home modifications, MyAged Care experience preferred).
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families (preferred).
Experience delivering specialist outreach services to remote communities (preferred).
Must be confident working with minimal support.
Hospital
Generalist with hand therapy experience.
ED – hands/head injury.
Ward subacute with 2 x rehab beds (predominantly stroke, fractures).
Paeds ward – developmental assessments.
Outpatients hand therapy.
Skill requirements:
Experience of working with Aboriginal clients preferred.
85% of the caseload is indigenous, with 50% coming from remote communities.
