About the Role

Doctors' Health Fund is a private health insurer built for doctors and the medical community. As we continue to grow, we have an opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist to join our Sydney team. In this role, you'll act as a trusted expert and key contributor to the growth of Doctors' Health Fund.

Working with qualified leads, you'll lead needs‐based conversations with prospective and existing members, confidently navigating more complex scenarios and recommending tailored health insurance solutions. Your focus will be on delivering strong commercial outcomes while ensuring members feel informed and supported in their decisions. You'll bring deep product knowledge and a strong understanding of systems and processes, enabling you to consistently deliver high conversion, retention and upgrade outcomes. Beyond your individual performance, you'll contribute to team success by sharing knowledge, supporting others and helping improve how we work. You'll build strong, long‐term relationships with members through proactive, professional interactions, particularly in complex or sensitive situations.

This is a permanent, full‐time role based in our Sydney office (Hybrid working model, 5 days per fortnight in office attendance).

About You

This role suits a high‐performing sales professional who thrives in a results‐driven environment and is confident working with complexity. You'll also bring a willingness to support others, sharing your knowledge to lift team capability and performance.

You are someone who:

* Brings experience in sales and/or retention within a complex or regulated environment, with a track record of achieving strong results
* Uses advanced needs‐based selling and objection handling skills to navigate conversations and influence outcomes
* Communicates clearly and professionally, building trust and rapport with a wide range of members
* Demonstrates strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of sales drivers and customer value
* Is highly organised, detail‐oriented and able to manage competing priorities effectively
* Has strong systems literacy and the ability to quickly learn and apply complex product, system and regulatory information
* Brings experience coaching, mentoring and supporting others to develop their capability
* Consistently achieving or exceeding sales, retention and upgrade targets
* Managing complex inbound and outbound opportunities, leading needs‐based conversations to maximise member outcomes
* Identifying and acting on cross‐sell and retention opportunities to grow member lifetime value
* Acting as a subject matter expert across products (including Overseas Visitors Health Cover), systems and processes
* Supporting team capability through coaching, mentoring and sharing best practice
* Providing guidance on complex member scenarios and escalations
* Delivering high‐quality, personalised member interactions, particularly in complex or sensitive situations
* Ensuring all activities meet quality, compliance and regulatory standards
* Contributing to continuous improvement across sales processes, systems and workflows
* Collaborating with internal teams to deliver strong member and commercial outcomes

To be successful you will have:

* Demonstrated success in a sales and/or retention role, consistently achieving or exceeding targets
* Experience working in a regulated or complex product environment (health insurance or financial services highly regarded)
* Advanced communication skills, with the ability to lead confident, needs‐based conversations and manage objections effectively
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities to drive conversion, retention and member value
* Proven ability to manage complex member scenarios and provide clear, considered solutions
* Experience using CRM systems and sales tools to manage pipelines, track performance and maintain accurate recordsHigh attention to detail and ability to balance quality, compliance and sales outcomes
* A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting team members to improve capability and performance
