About the role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Intelligence Analyst to be part of our Firearms Registry, Police Prosecutions & Licensing Enforcement Command. The Senior Intelligence Analyst applies expertise in making assessments and predictions to support decision making through a variety of tasks from tactical intelligence functions to strategic reporting on threats and challenges to NSW Police Force.
The successful candidate would preferably possess;
* Experience in working within a high-level information/ data driven team environment.
* Possess relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in information management and data analysis.
* Knowledge or understanding of the relevant legislation with the ability to apply these legislative frameworks to identify risks and support public safety.
* Demonstrated ability being able to adapt and learn complex law enforcement systems currently used by NSWPF.
* Ability to provide recent examples of leading complex intelligence projects that prioritise community protection and public safety.
* Ability to decipher and interpret raw data into sophisticated intelligence products with a view of conducting high-level verbal and written briefings for Senior Leadership to influence strategic decision-making.
* A clear focus on using intelligence as a proactive tool to anticipate threats, predict crime trends, and safeguard the community.
