Research Fellow in Entomology
This role presents an opportunity to contribute to ongoing capability in entomology with experience in modelling and data management.
The successful appointee will contribute to research initiatives leading to evidence-based responses to insect pest management, particularly but not exclusively modelling of exotic pest incursions in South Australia.
Research outputs will have national and international impact that are both academic and applied, and be of a scope and scale that ensures trans-disciplinary collaboration and significant industry/government engagement.
The appointee will be expected to develop research projects in collaboration with other staff in areas related to biosecurity and pest management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to research initiatives in entomology with experience in modelling and data management
* Develop research projects in collaboration with other staff in areas related to biosecurity and pest management
* Contribute to evidence-based responses to insect pest management, particularly modelling of exotic pest incursions in South Australia
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* PhD in entomology or a related discipline
* Track record in entomology research or related field, evidenced by papers in peer-reviewed journals or equivalent
* Ability to work and communicate with academic, industry and government stakeholders
* Strong organisational, time management, intercultural and interpersonal skills
