As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be instrumental in developing a strong business case for a new organizational resilience solution. Your primary focus will be on translating defined business requirements into a compelling case that secures executive approval. This role has a strong consultative element, as you'll be working closely with a small team of subject matter experts (SMEs) rather than a large project team.
Core Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for leading the initiative from the initial concept to a fully-developed business case. Your work will involve:
* Business Case Development: Taking the defined requirements, articulating them clearly, and connecting the dots to build a cohesive business case. This includes defining the project scope, objectives, benefits, risks, and financial justifications. The solution must align directly with the business case you've developed.
* Requirements & Analysis: Conducting a thorough analysis of current processes, data, and user workflows. You'll identify gaps and inefficiencies by engaging with stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and reviewing documentation.
* Solution Design & Strategy: Designing the future state of the solution. This includes developing streamlined processes for incident response and recovery and creating user-focused changes to enhance adoption and usability.
* Communication & Collaboration: Working closely with a Business Resilience Manager and other stakeholders to gather requirements, build consensus, and communicate progress effectively. Your excellent communication skills will be crucial for bridging business objectives and user needs.
* Vendor Evaluation: Participating in the Request for Information (RFI) process to evaluate shortlisted systems, ensuring the selected solution aligns with the organization's needs.
* Documentation: Creating user-centered design artifacts like process maps and user journey maps. You will also be responsible for documenting and communicating project requirements, scope, and status to stakeholders.
This role requires a keen ability to consult with experts, translate complex information, and present a clear, persuasive case that drives business value and organizational resilience.
