About the role

Applications are invited for a Content Marketing Lead within the Office of the Managing Director team.

As the Content Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for the development of content to support the execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, events and digital channels for the whole of the AWRI. The role involves communication to key grape and wine industry stakeholders and the broader food and beverage sectors.

We're on the lookout for a creative and driven content specialist to join our team in a casual capacity, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. If you're passionate about storytelling, digital marketing, and making an impact in the wine and research space, this is your chance to shape how we communicate with industry and beyond.

Key responsibilities include:

* Create compelling digital content including ads, social media, videos, and webinars.
* Edit and approve non-peer-reviewed content for publication.
* Maintain and optimise AWRI websites for SEO and user experience.
* Manage organic social media content and engagement.
* Support email marketing campaigns to enhance storytelling and loyalty.
* Report on marketing performance using analytics tools.
* Lead the development of corporate publications and promotional materials.
* Oversee the AWRI staff seminar program.
* Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent messaging.
* Stay current with digital marketing trends and tools.

About you

To be successful, you will bring:

* A relevant degree in Marketing or related field
* Strong copywriting and content creation skills with the ability to present complex material in simple and clear language
* Ability to meet deadlines with a high-quality work output
* Ability to work and communicate successfully within a multi-disciplinary environment, maintain effective working relationships and contribute positively in a team environment
* Knowledge of digital tools (Meta Suite, Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO and CRM)
* Digital marketing experience
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team
* In-depth knowledge of marketing, brand and communication principles.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills with a capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Well-developed design skills and a sound understanding of social media platforms and other digital applications including the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other editing apps.
* High level of initiative and excellent organisational skills, with a strong emphasis on time management and managing competing deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail, highly organised and efficient, with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.

Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
