As a Vegetation Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and growth of vegetation within rail corridors. This role requires regular work away from home across multiple states.
* Maintaining vegetation growth to prevent overgrowth and ensure safe rail operations
* Working away from home for extended periods, requiring strong adaptability and resilience
1. A valid Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card
2. Current Rail Industry Competencies certification
3. A Construction industry induction white card
4. Cat 1 Rail Medical certification
5. HR Licence for driving heavy vehicles
6. The ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
7. Herbicide Training/Qualifications advantageous for vegetation management
8. Horticulture Qualifications or Training advantageous for plant care
9. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to rail industry protocols
10. Australian citizenship or working rights
11. Computer proficiency for reporting and data entry
12. Excellent written and oral communication skills
13. Ability to work in a team environment with diverse groups
14. Physically fit and able to withstand demanding work conditions
15. Ability to work autonomously and drive long distances safely
