About the opportunity As a Graduate Mine Surveyor, you will report to the Senior Surveyor and provide assistance to the Mine Surveyors in providing support and technical experience to the mining operations, specifically associated with maintaining the underground model, accurate execution of mine design and reporting. The role includes Assist the Mine Surveyor to supply all survey requirements for the underground and surface mine operations while ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health and Environmental standards and procedures Assist and gain proficiency in completing surface and underground survey tasks autonomously. Gain experience and familiarisation in completing the requirements for end of month calculations and reporting. Learn and develop advanced CAD processing skills over time Calculations and computation of survey field work as per Mine Surveyors requirements. Cleaning and maintenance of survey equipment including correctly storing equipment and checking for damage and faults. Have detailed knowledge of supplies in stock and re-order stock through stores when supplies are low. Prism monitoring surveys. What do I need? Tertiary qualification in Surveying. Practical experience / vacation time deemed advantageous. Strong computer literacy skills and excellent communication skills with all levels of operation.
