Chef Manager
who can not only deliver outstanding food but also take ownership of the overall performance and culture of a small village of 80 residents.
This is a unique dual role, perfect for a hands-on chef who wants to step confidently into site leadership. If you thrive in the kitchen and are ready to broaden your impact across village operations, this is your opportunity.
Your Role:
As the Chef Manager, you will be the driving force behind both
culinary excellence
and
village operations
. You'll lead by example, lift standards, and ensure your team delivers an exceptional resident experience—every single day.
What You'll Lead & Deliver:
Prepare and deliver high-quality dinner service
Coach, mentor, and develop your kitchen and village teams
Build positive, professional relationships with clients and residents
Oversee stock control, budgeting, ordering, rostering, and cost management
Ensure compliance with HSEQ, HACCP, and Compass standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and village environment
Minimise waste and enhance operational efficiency
Support day-to-day village operations as part of your leadership responsibilities
This role is the perfect stepping stone for a talented chef ready to grow into village management.
You'll Be a Great Fit If You:
Have experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef in a remote and bulk-catering environment
Are confident leading people and enjoy building a positive team culture
Take real pride in the meals you produce and the service you deliver
Are organised, solutions-focused, and calm under pressure
Want to develop broader operational and leadership skills beyond the kitchen
Role Requirements
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Experience in large-scale or bulk catering environments
Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, cost control, and rostering
Strong understanding of food safety practices and HACCP requirements
Current manual driver's licence
Approved Managers Licence
National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
Previous FIFO experience is essential
