Registered Midwife - Women's Services | Mackay Base Hospital, Queensland
About the Role:
Mackay Base Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Midwives for Women's Services. This role involves working in the labour ward and birth suite, providing comprehensive midwifery care in a busy hospital environment. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality care to women and their families.
Mandatory Experience:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in women's health nursing or midwifery
* Essential labour ward and birth suite experience
Desirable Experience:
* Proficiency with ieMR (integrated electronic Medical Record system)
* Previous experience working within Australia, QLD Health, or Mackay HHS
Mandatory Competencies:
* Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
* Manual and patient handling
* Infection control
* Aggressive behaviour management
* Mandatory reporting responsibilities relating to child abuse and neglect
Additional Training Requirements:
Candidates must be willing to undertake:
* Integrated electronic medical record training
* Online induction training
* Any other training as requested by the Health and Hospital Service (HHS)

* Duration: 14 weeks

* Shift: Rotating 8 and 12‑hour shifts
* Hours: Max 80 hours per fortnight
