About the role
Bring your safe driving skills and customer-first mindset to the Public Transport Authority (PTA). In this role, you'll make every journey a positive experience for our passengers—whether it's helping with tickets and baggage, offering assistance to those with special needs, or simply greeting customers with a smile. You'll operate our coaches safely and efficiently, complete routine checks, and keep everything running smoothly while representing Transwa with pride.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes safety seriously, and has a genuine commitment to helping people. You'll have experience driving large passenger vehicles, hold a current WA Heavy Vehicle Licence with Passenger Transport Driver endorsement, and maintain a clean driving record. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be interacting with customers and handling situations calmly and professionally. About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Substantial experience in driving passenger vehicles with a minimum seating capacity of 40 seats.
* Possession of a current Western Australian Heavy Vehicles Drivers' Licence 'Class HR or equivalent with 'Passenger Transport Driver' endorsement. This requirement continues for the duration of employment in this position and from time to time production of the licence on request by the Authority may be required.
* Considerable understanding of, and adherence to, the Road Traffic Act and a safe driving record.
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills in a frontline customer service environment, including demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
* Sound mechanical aptitude, including the ability to diagnose problems, undertake minor repairs and report on faults and failures.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 24 months.
