Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an apprentice sheet metal fabricator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop hands-on skills and industry knowledge in the trade.
As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the fundamentals of sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, polishing, and welding various materials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist experienced tradesmen in fabrication tasks, including cutting, polishing, and welding various materials.
* Operate tools and machinery under supervision, including shears, brakes, and welders.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Participate in on-the-job training and formal apprenticeship coursework.
* Learn to produce stainless steel benches, exhaust canopies, handrails, and other products.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A strong interest in sheet metal work and a desire to build a career.
* BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF TOOLS AND MECHANICAL APPTITUDE (EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS).
* Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
* Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
* Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
* Eligibility to enroll in a registered apprenticeship program.
* Good attention to detail and precision.
* High achievement in general maths and sound achievement in general English.
