As an Assets Data & GIS Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing infrastructure data, ensuring consistency, completeness, and updating into the Asset Management System (Oracle - WACS). Support the Coordinator Asset Management in the ongoing management of the Council's asset management function.

About You:
Broad understanding of Local Government activities
Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management or GIS
Familiarity with AMIS/GIS technology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
Key Responsibilities:
Manage assets interaction with the WACS system
Provide relevant assets data to the Finance Department
Manage GIS, including spatial and non-spatial data
Collaborate with Assets System Administrator to support operational teams
Assist in the development of User Guides for asset data management
Respond to infrastructure assets inquiries regarding data collection
Undertake asset data analysis
Carry out other duties as directed, ensuring sound risk management practices
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or diploma relevant to the position
Excellent understanding of Asset Management principles
Technical knowledge and experience in the administration of corporate information systems
Ability to use Microsoft suite and prepare spreadsheets
Current Victorian Driver's Licence
Understanding and experience with Oracle, ESRI, and CAD (or similar products)
Key Selection Criteria:
Tertiary qualification relevant to the position and some relevant experience, or lesser formal qualification with substantial relevant experience
Technical knowledge and experience in corporate information systems associated with assets and spatial representation
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Oracle, ESRI, and CAD (or similar products)
