As a Finance Manager in Reporting & Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in integrating climate-related financial risks and opportunities into our financial reports and sustainability disclosures.
Your day to day will consist of
* Lead the end-to-end group financial reporting process, ensuring strict compliance with Australian and International Accounting Standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes through automation, data integrity initiatives, and leveraging advanced tools such as S/4HANA, TM1.
* Incorporate climate-related financial risks and opportunities into sustainability disclosures, aligning with TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) and other emerging ESG frameworks.
* Develop and maintain robust governance and assurance frameworks for financial and sustainability reporting, ensuring transparency and accuracy for internal and external stakeholders.
* Provide clear, well-governed reporting and assurance processes to support the Audit & Risk Committees, including preparation of board papers and regulatory submissions.
* Collaborate closely with Finance, Risk, Legal, Sustainability, and IT teams to deliver integrated reporting solutions that meet both statutory and ESG requirements.
* Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards, sustainability regulations, and disclosure requirements, advising senior management on impacts and implementation strategies.
* Lead stakeholder engagement on sustainability metrics, climate risk assessments, and ESG performance, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and investor expectations.
* Oversee external audit and assurance processes for both financial statements and sustainability reports, acting as the key liaison with auditors and regulators.
* Champion a culture of compliance, ethical reporting, and continuous improvement within the finance and sustainability functions.
What You Bring
* Chartered Accountant (CA) possessing solid technical accounting and policy analysis abilities.
* At least 7 years of experience, encompassing technical accounting and financial reporting.
* Expertise in ESG and climate reporting frameworks (e.g., AASB S2, IFRS S2, ISSB).
* Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with precision and urgency.
* Outstanding collaborator engagement skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
