Favcote WA office is located at Naval Base, we are seeking Blaster Painters to join our teams. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality painting and surface preparation services for our diverse range of defence and industrial clients.
Site location - Naval Base, Cuff, Garden Island HMAS Sterling and other off site locations
What you'll be doing
* Prepare surfaces using abrasive blasting techniques (including blasting materials and mechanical prep) to achieve the required finish
* Apply a variety of paint coatings and finishes to surfaces using brush and roller and spray-painting equipment
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, meeting client specifications and industry regulations
* Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver projects on time and within budget
* Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all health and safety protocols
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our painting and surface preparation processes
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Blaster Painter or similar role in the painting/surface preparation industry is preferred
* Some knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques and the application of a wide range of paint coatings is preferred
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Trade qualifications or certificates, such as a CERT III in surface prep & Coating applications Certificate III in Painting and Decorating is preferred
* White card is essential
* Confined space & working at heights is desirable
* Valid work visa accepted for candidates with appropriate Australian work rights
