This position leads the development andimplementation of Medical Education at Sir Charles Gairdner OsbornePark Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG) to ensure the effective andefficient delivery of medical education for all medical staff inprevocational (Interns, Resident Medical Officers), vocational(Registrars, Senior Registrars, Fellows & Consultants) andservice positions. The role develops innovative medical educationstrategies based on best practice ensuring preparation for practiceacross a wide range of hospital and community-based professions andcontributing to continuingexcellence in practice delivering safe, evidence based care;and ensures SCGOPHCG remains a centre of excellence andleader in medical education. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II MedicalCentre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensiverange of clinical services including trauma, emergency and criticalcare, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiaccare. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - thelargest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State'sprincipal hospital for neurosurgery and livertransplants.
