Job Summary
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers play a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of aircraft. As a skilled professional in this field, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex mechanical systems, including engines, ancillary components, and electrical systems.
About the Role
* Dismantle, inspect, test, repair, and reassemble aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;
* Conduct routine pre-flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
* Maintain thorough records of actions taken;
* Assemble components, parts, and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment;
* Test, maintain, replace, and upgrade aircraft safety equipment.
Essential Requirements
* 2+ years of experience on Dash 8 Q200, Q300, and Q400 aircraft (or similar type, e.g. turboprop aircraft);
* Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical), (Structures) or (Avionics);
* Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair, and installation of mechanical components;
* Strong team player;
* Ability to follow supervisory direction;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
* Passion for safe work practices;
* Valid work visa;
* Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain);
* Current Australian Driver's licence.
