Domestic Care Assistant Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Domestic Care Assistant to join our team. As a Domestic Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
* You will perform general household duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and meal preparation.
* Shopping without consumer goods
* You will be responsible for compliance with safety guidelines in relation to cleaning products.
* Required to report all unsafe conditions or equipment/appliances in consumers' homes.
* Carry out tasks in a friendly and cooperative manner, demonstrating a caring attitude towards consumers.
* Encouraging consumers to maintain and enhance their abilities and strengths.
* The incumbent shall have no authority to carry out personal tasks which would require the skills of a qualified nurse or allied health professional, nor to carry out any tasks for which he/she does not possess the necessary skills or level of competence.
About You
* Current Victorian Drivers licence
* Certificate III in Aged Care, from an Australian registered training organisation or recognised equivalent qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
* Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively and work effectively as part of multidisciplinary health care team.
* Knowledge, skills, and experience in the delivery of duties to support consumers within the community.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, verbal and ICT skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues, and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
* Previous experience working in hospital, community care, or residential aged care setting.
