As one of Queensland's earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: dedication to conserving our nation's Indigenous, natural, and historic heritage and culture.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, capable, and reliable person to fill the role of **Visitor Services officer**. You will deliver an outstanding experience by providing accurate information and directions, selling tickets and memberships, assisting, and providing directions with car parking and handling special services such as wheelchair or stroller hire.

**Some of the things you'll be doing**:
- Deliver a warm welcome to our guests and deliver accurate administration & ticketing transactions.
- Confident in selling the features of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary including memberships.
- Accurately answer guest enquiries about the sanctuary and attractions.
- Cash handling and operating a POS system on ticketing and in our car park.
- Excellent spoken and written English and the ability to communicate the features of the Sanctuary.
- Be an energetic and positive team player.
- This is a casual position with workdays ranging from Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster as required by business needs.
- Full availability over School Holiday periods is essential.
- Pay and work conditions are under the Amusements, Events & Recreations Award 2020.
- You must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment that includes birds & reptiles.

- A consistent, warm, and welcoming communication manner is essential to be successful in this role.
- You must have excellent communication skills & are comfortable communicating with both local and international guests, assisting them with their needs
- Previous experience in ticketing, reservations or guest relations is required.
- Must have excellent customer service, excellent telephone skills & the ability to solve customer problems and complaints.
- You must be comfortable, motivated and professional in interacting with guests of all nationalities, people with disabilities, parents and carers, tour group leaders, industry agents and CWS staff and volunteers.
- Has excellent time management skills, works well unsupervised, stays calm under pressure and is a flexible team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Have a high standard of personal presentation & physically fit. Able to lift & move items up to 10kg & can walk long distances indoors & outdoors, in all weather conditions
- Able to obtain a high level of awareness of all CWS products and services
- You must be able to follow W.H.S and security guidelines/policies and practices.
- You must be comfortable to work in an environment surrounded by Aussie wildlife, including birds, reptiles & snakes
