This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior tax leadership role within a large, complex organisation headquartered on the Sunshine Coast. You'll be part of a 40+ person finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Accounting & Tax and working closely with executives on key strategic decisions.
The Role
* Lead preparation and review of all tax compliance for Australian entities (income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, WorkCover)
* Deliver tax effect accounting, consolidation and deferred tax reporting across multiple entities
* Provide strategic, commercially focused tax advice to senior leadership on major business initiatives
* Oversee international reporting requirements to the global parent group
* Partner with external advisors, auditors and regulators to manage complex tax matters
* Drive process improvements, automation and best practice across tax reporting systems and controls
About You
* CA/CPA qualified with 8+ years' experience in Big 4 or large corporate tax roles
* Strong technical expertise in MEC groups, consolidation, and deferred tax
* Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on compliance with high-level strategy
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
* Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience (JDE/Oracle highly regarded)
* Industry exposure to mining, heavy industry or resources a plus
