Payroll Operations Specialist
We're seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team in Australia and New Zealand.
This is a critical role that involves ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll cycles across multiple countries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll queries, maintaining data integrity, and contributing to process improvements that drive efficiency and service quality.

* Multi-country payroll processed with precision and consistency.
* Payroll queries resolved quickly and professionally.
* Data accuracy, reconciliation, and reliability maintained across systems.
* Continuously refined payroll operations with smarter processes and standardisation driving efficiency.
* Established as a trusted partner by employees and leaders within HR Shared Services.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* 3+ years' experience in payroll administration and operations, preferably in a multi-country or high-volume environment.
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (Awards, superannuation, PAYG).
* Exceptional attention to detail with confidence handling employee data and complex calculations.
* A process-oriented mindset with a track record of driving improvements.
* Resilience in fast-moving, ambiguous environments — able to create clarity and structure.
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
Nice to have:
* Hands-on experience with New Zealand payroll legislation.
* Familiarity with external vendor management in an outsourced or co-sourced payroll model.
* Experience with HR or payroll-related platforms (e.g., Workday, TMF).
* Involvement in automation, documentation, or payroll process optimisation.
