About the Opportunity
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions, including assessments, treatment planning, clinical reporting, and referrals. You'll work collaboratively with consumers, their families, and support networks, contributing your specialist knowledge to a multidisciplinary team. What You'll Be Doing
To deliver psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and consultation to address the needs of consumers living with complex mental health problems and disorders.
The role also involves evaluating clinical outcomes of services, developing and providing education and training programs, and supervising psychologists and other disciplines within the LHD according to organisational needs.
Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney, catering to children, adolescents, adults, and older persons. The multidisciplinary teams offer mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy, working closely with inpatient services, GPs, and community organisations to provide holistic care. Qualifications
* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full-time duration or recognized equivalent.
* Describe your experience in delivering evidence-based clinical interventions, including assessments, treatment planning, and referrals. Explain how you ensure your approach remains collaborative and inclusive of consumers, their families, and natural supports.
* Provide an example of how you have contributed to a multidisciplinary team, including any leadership, supervision, or quality improvement activities. How did your input enhance clinical outcomes or service delivery?
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those holding a C-class license from another state must obtain an NSW C-class license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
