The Role Based in Newcastle and reporting to the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to keep operations running. You’ll manage MRP outputs daily, work closely with maintenance and procurement teams, and drive improvements in how inventory is planned, governed and optimised across the business. Responsibilities Daily review and action of MRP outputs, managing exceptions, shortages and replenishment signals in SAP Coordinate with Maintenance Planners to align stock availability with upcoming work orders and shutdowns Expedite critical deliveries and manage overdue POs in partnership with the Purchasing team Set and maintain MRP parameters including safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes and lead times Analyse demand trends and consumption history to optimise inventory levels and reduce excess or obsolete stock Monitor inventory KPIs and recommend improvements Support continuous improvement initiatives across inventory processes, critical spares management and supplier performance About You Solid background in inventory planning, materials management or supply chain - mining, heavy industry or manufacturing preferred Proficient in SAP Strong understanding of replenishment strategies and safety stock methodology Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills Confident communicator who can engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders Benefits Join a Tier 1 mining operation known for safety culture and operational excellence Genuine strategic influence over supply chain outcomes in a high-performing team Attractive salary package on offer benefits If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please contact Laila Hoy via email lh@asr.com.au for a confidential discussion.
