The Package: $1,370.95 - $1,514.87 gross per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).
Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.
Do you have experience in road maintenance and looking to make a real impact in your local community? Join our Transport Maintenance team and take charge of projects that make our streets safer, more accessible, and positively impact the community.
In this role you will:
* Supervise and support the maintenance of Council footpaths across Queanbeyan and surrounding areas.
* Oversee and assist with construction and maintenance projects, including roads, drainage, concrete, and timber structures.
* Participate in the delivery of worksite traffic control, placement of signs and checking of existing signage.
* Operate and ensure proper maintenance of Council vehicles and equipment.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has relevant experience in a similar construction and maintenance role.
* Proven ability to effectively supervise staff to complete activities within an agreed time period.
* Possesses a current MR driver's licence, and Work Zone Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan accreditations are essential.
