They are now looking to recruit an experienced Production Planner to join their production team and contribute to the continued growth of the business. The Role: Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing, leading and managing the production planning process for multiple sites. The role exists to provide an active conduit between demand generation activities and the manufacturing and supply chain team by providing a clear line of sight on upcoming work load, capacity constraints and lead times. Your responsibilities will include: Developing production plans in order to optimise service levels and customer satisfaction Providing timely and accurate production and delivery schedules across multiple plants Preparing up to date and accurate production reports and documentation Ensuring necessary inventory levels of finished goods, raw materials and accessories are maintained and regular stock takes are being performed Leading daily planning meetings with Sales, Operations and Supply Chain and communicating supply related issues to relevant stakeholders Managing day to day running of the internal sales and planning team With a strong focus on LEAN principles and a culture that embrace continuous improvement, you will play a critical role in enhancing existing systems and developing and implementing new processes that streamline and automate the programming and scheduling activities. Your Profile: To be successful in this role you will have solid experience in a similar production planning role, within a manufacturing or industrial environment. It is also expected that you have previous experience working with ERP/MRP software and have intermediate to advanced Excel skills. You have an exceptional eye for detail, and have advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities allowing you to develop insights and make recommendations to management teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential and will be critical to your success. In addition, you are a self-motivated and reliable team member, proactive in your approach and enjoy taking ownership of your work.
