Offer description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products, diagnosing and repairing engines, and ensuring adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

As a Mechanical Technician, you will work on various projects involving engine rebuilding and reconditioning, disassembling, inspecting, and cleaning engines and components, and maintaining work areas and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

You will also assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

* Australian recognised Trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle)
* Apprentice trained engine technician (preferred)
* Service and maintenance experience in heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines, including engine overhauls and major repairs

You will also require solid diagnostic capabilities and must have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical knowledge.

Please note that overtime may be required, and penalty rates will be paid for all work above 38 hours per week.
