Your New Role

As a Classroom Teacher, you’ll inspire young minds, foster a positive learning environment, and develop engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. You’ll also provide individual attention to students, addressing their unique needs, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational outcomes. By building strong relationships with parents and guardians, you’ll support student success and make a lasting impact on their lives.

Selection Criteria

- An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education
- Demonstrated experience as a classroom practitioner
- Qualified to teach Stage 4 to 6 English and capacity to teach Extension courses is an advantage
- Appropriate qualifications
- A demonstrated capacity to align practice with a whole‑school Positive Behaviour for Learning model of student support
- An appropriate mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge
- An informed understanding of inclusive, learner‑centred pedagogy
- An ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture
- Willingness to participate in staff professional development in partnership with the College
- Willingness to contribute to the KLA team in their understanding of relevant curriculum and its application to the College
- Willingness to take on co‑curricular activities
- Capacity to teach Religious Education (RE) is an advantage
- NSW Working with Children Check
- NSW NESA Accreditation
- Relevant Education/Teaching tertiary qualification
- Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category B, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve
