Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Onsite Support Worker to support residents in their day-to-day lives at Gaynes Park Suites. Gaynes Park Suites is a premium, modern assisted living community designed for older Australians who need extra support. Residents enjoy private, contemporary suites and access to quality food and care in a welcoming environment.
About You
To be considered for this important and rewarding work, you will have:
- Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support or Disability Services
- Senior First Aid Certificate (current)
- Recent paid experience as PCW (approximately 600 hours)
- Current Police Clearance (or we will provide at no cost)
- Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
- An empathetic, patient and caring nature
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build respectful relationships

Your core responsibilities will focus on promoting, monitoring, and supporting residents\' independence, helping them maintain quality of life. You’ll deliver care in line with quality standards and Torrens Health values, showing kindness and respect in every interaction. You’ll foster connection by encouraging participation in activities and empowering clients to live life on their own terms. As a role model, you\'ll demonstrate professional behaviours that contribute to a high-performing, positive team culture.
Every Client Is Different, And Tasks May Include
- Assistance with personal care (showering and dressing)
- Household cleaning and laundry
- Meal preparation
- Transport to and from appointments / shops
- Social support
- Medication prompts
- Providing respite for family
- Assisting with complex care needs
