Maintenance Superintendent – Execution
Location & Work schedule
Full‐time permanent role operating on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote the PLS Asset Management Framework and Maintenance Excellence program to support best practice maintenance.
* Monitor and drive improvement across all maintenance KPIs (Availability, MTBF, MTTR and work management).
* Execute maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance activities are recorded consistently, accurately and in a timely manner.
* Take an active role in short‐ and long‐term planning of maintenance activities, including shutdowns.
* Lead by example in demonstrating a hands‐on approach to resolving maintenance issues, allocating priority to emergent work orders in line with core business needs.
* Provide clear instructions to contract partners regarding job allocation, job details, work methods, timeframes and allow for adequate feedback.
* Regularly liaise with maintenance, production and metallurgical teams to review performance, set priorities and identify improvement opportunities.
* Provide updates to the Manager, Engineering and Maintenance on long‐ and short‐term issues.
* Assist with preparation of maintenance operational budget and the five‐year capital plan to support equipment replacement strategies.
* Support procedures and work practices aimed at preventing accidents or injuries and actively participate in PLS Field Safety Interaction programme (INX and Forwood).
Qualifications and Experience
* 5–10 years of fixed‐plant maintenance experience.
* Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes.
* Systematic planning skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
* Strong commitment to safety and the environment.
* Pronto experience.
* Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Project.
* WA C‐class driver's licence.
* Relevant trade or engineering qualification (desirable).
* Current proficiency in providing First Aid (desirable).
* Root Cause Analysis knowledge or experience (desirable).
* Previous experience working as a Maintenance Superintendent or equivalent (highly desirable).
