Role Details

As a Case Worker with the Department for Child Protection based in Kadina, you will play a vital role supporting children, young people and families to stay safe and connected. Working within a supportive team environment, you will undertake case management under professional direction and contribute to high quality standards of care for children in care. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families and communities while developing your skills in child protection practice within a values driven public sector organisation.

To be successful

You bring experience or developing capability in case work or human services, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond to complex situations. You are comfortable working within a structured case management framework and understand the importance of maintaining high quality standards of care for children in care.

You have knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, relevant legislation and departmental guidelines that support child safety and wellbeing. You can communicate clearly in writing and verbally, contribute to case planning, and work effectively with colleagues and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.

You are empathetic, resilient and respectful in your approach, with a genuine commitment to working collaboratively with children, families and carers from diverse backgrounds. You value teamwork, cultural awareness and continuous learning. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.
