This is a casual remote role. Work is offered as required, typically averaging around 3 days per week. You must be based in Australia, with a focus on the ANZ region.
Role Description
We're looking for a thoughtful, experienced Business Development Representative who understands that great outbound isn't about volume. It's about relevance, timing, and genuine value.
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for researching and vetting targeted prospect lists, crafting personalised outreach, and engaging decision-makers across Australia and New Zealand's industrial sector. You will take a consultative, solution-selling approach, taking the time to understand a prospect's world before picking up the phone or hitting send.
This role is about making calls, however, we are not a dialling factory. We're looking for someone who does their homework, engages with intent, and loves having conversations about the challenges and opportunities that face our prospective customers. Quality over quantity, always.
Requirements
* Ideally 3+ years of experience in outbound sales role within a SaaS or B2B technology environment
* A genuine solution-selling mindset: you lead with insight and curiosity, not a script
* Proven ability to run personalised outreach across email and phone
* Experience selling into or engaging with industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or asset-intensive sectors is highly regarded
* Experience using HubSpot CRM and modern sales engagement tools
* Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment
* Must be based in Australia with full working rights
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute personalised outreach campaigns across email and phone
* Engage prospects with relevance and insight
* Conduct meaningful discovery conversations that uncover genuine pain points and buying intent
* Schedule and coordinate qualified meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team
* Maintain accurate, timely records of all activities and opportunities in HubSpot
* Continuously refine targeting, messaging, and outreach strategies based on what's working
