Grain Accumulator

Reporting to: Head of Trading

Direct Reports: None

Location: Mount Tyson, Queensland

Position Overview

The Grain Accumulator serves as a key liaison between the organization and commodity growers. The role focuses on aligning business objectives with grower interests through effective two-way communication on market sentiment, commodity availability, and trading conditions.

This position is responsible for building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships while ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality commodities.

Key Responsibilities 1. Industry Knowledge
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of:
* Market conditions and commodity pricing
* Grain quality grading standards and seasonal expectations
* Expected production volumes across seasons
* Emerging growers and diversification trends
* Gather and share early season insights to support trading, operational, and management decisions
2. Sales & Marketing
* Manage and expand a portfolio of growers within the assigned region
* Identify and onboard new growers for existing and new commodities
* Diversify commodity lines to ensure consistent business activity throughout the year
* Strengthen brand presence as a preferred buyer within the agricultural community
3. Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with growers and key stakeholders
* Coordinate with facilities to align logistics, timelines, and delivery requirements
* Collaborate with internal teams including trading, logistics, finance, and operations
* Participate in industry events, networking forums, and community engagements
* Ensure accuracy in purchase contracts and timely processing of invoices
Success Measures (KPIs) Industry Knowledge
* Timely and accurate sharing of market intelligence with internal teams
* Alignment between early-season forecasts and end-of-season results
* Contribution to overall business performance, including volume, revenue, and profitability
Sales & Marketing
* Growth in number of growers, transactions, and sourced commodity volumes
* Achievement of facility delivery and procurement targets
* Improved revenue consistency through diversified commodity sourcing
* Alignment with financial and commercial performance targets
Relationship Management
* Efficient and seamless product receival aligned with operational capacity
* Strong representation and visibility within the industry
* Accurate contract execution and timely financial processing

Qualifications & Experience
* Valid Open C Class Driver's License
* Experience in agriculture, farming, or a related field
* Background in field-based sales, procurement, or business development
* Degree in Agriculture or Business (preferred)

* Proven ability to build trust-based relationships
* High level of accuracy in administrative and data-related tasks
