Gardner Vaughan Group is an award-winning building developer with over three decades of experience building and developing across the SEQ with a primary focus constructing multi-res developments. We are seeking a supervisor with extensive experience in Structures to join our established site team of up to 10 site staff.
About the opportunity
As our Structural Foreman, you will oversee construction activities onsite and ensure that projects are completed on time and while balancing quality and safety. "One" Redcliffe is a multi-level residential project consisting of 2 towers over 12 storeys based in Redcliffe, valued at $120m with expected completion for the first stage in 2027.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the site manager in overseeing all aspects of the project
* Ensure strict adherence to planning and quality control processes
* Manage resources effectively to maximise productivity across timeframes
* Implement safety protocols and procedures on-site
* Monitor construction progress regularly, identifying any issues or delays that may arise
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers
* Provide guidance and support to site staff throughout all stages of construction
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
* Identify solutions for any problems or challenges that may occur during construction
* Manage conflicts or disputes that arise between team members or external parties

About You
In this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment. You should also have a strong understanding of construction principles and be able to troubleshoot problems as they arise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 4+ years as a multi-residential site foreman
* A valid construction white card and driver's licence
* Minimum Cert IV in Construction or similarly relevant tertiary qualification
* A strong understanding of site safety and its importance
* Current CPR and General First Aid Certificate or the ability to obtain
* A current QBCC Builders Open Site Supervisor Licence
