We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Accounting Assistant to join our client's team. This role offers a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and grow their career in accounting within a supportive and professional environment. You will assist with a range of accounting tasks, helping to ensure the smooth operation of the finance team while developing your skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
* Process expense reports, including reviewing credit card transactions, verifying receipts, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Maintain the financial aspects throughout project progress, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
* Develop and update simple Excel spreadsheets to assist with financial tracking.
* Support Senior Management with financial analysis of ongoing projects, including tracking budgets, monitoring expenditures and identifying variances.
* Assist with month end reporting tasks.
* General administrative tasks, including filing, data entry in SAP R3 and managing communications.
Requirements
* Diploma or Degree in accounting or finance.
* 1 – 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel pivot tables and intermediate-advanced formulas.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* A desire to learn and develop practical knowledge.
