We are looking for a Project Planner to join a high-performance engineering organisation. You will be responsible for building and maintaining realistic project plans, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource forecasting, and risk management. This role plays a critical part in supporting complex engineering and manufacturing projects.
What You'll Do
* Construct and baseline project schedules with logical dependencies.
* Develop resource models to forecast demand across teams.
* Monitor and manage plans through completion, identifying improvements where possible.
* Proactively identify and communicate risks and impacts to stakeholders.
* Participate in planning meetings and provide clear, actionable updates.
* Uphold professional standards and reporting protocols.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-standard project planning methods and tools.
What You'll Bring
* Experience with mainstream PPM software (e.g., Microsoft PWA, Primavera P6, or similar).
* Knowledge of project management principles, supported by qualifications (Prince 2, APM PMQ) or equivalent experience.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office and reporting tools such as Power BI.
* Previous experience as a Project Planner in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Calm, confident, and results-oriented, even under pressure.
* Flexible and collaborative approach in fast-changing environments.
