- Salary Package: Level B from $127,138 to $150,425 p.a. plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

The Role
We are seeking to appoint two motivated and student-centred academics to join the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences as Lecturers (Teaching & Leadership) within the School of Health Sciences and Nursing. These roles support the continued growth and development of the Bachelor of Health Sciences and its associated pathway course; the Diploma of Health Sciences delivered through Open Universities Australia. These courses have experienced strong enrolment growth and play critical role in widening access to health education.
The successful candidates will contribute to the design, coordination, and delivery of high-quality undergraduate teaching, particularly within first-year units and the Health Coaching and Health Administration majors and will play a key role in the ongoing development of shared curriculum that supports student success, progression, and strong employability outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Contributing to the innovative design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Bachelor of Health Sciences and Diploma of Health Sciences (OUA).
* Apply inclusive and evidence-based teaching practices to support diverse cohorts of students.
* Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to enhance student experience, learning outcomes, and curriculum coherence.
* Contributing to teaching leadership, quality assurance, and service activities aligned with Faculty priorities.

You are a passionate educator who holds a tertiary and/or professional qualification in health sciences or a related discipline, who possesses strong and contemporary experience in the use of educational technology, blended learning, and innovative teaching practices. You are focussed on improving student success and excel in teaching diverse cohorts across multiple delivery modes.

* A tertiary qualification (or demonstrated equivalent experience) in health sciences or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and convening health sciences courses in higher education, with a strong commitment to high-quality, student‐centred teaching
* Demonstrated experience with educational technology, blended learning, and educational innovation
* Strong communication and collegial skills, with demonstrated ability to contribute to collaborative curriculum design and development in health sciences courses
* An understanding of teaching large and diverse cohorts, including pathway and equity‐focused programs
* A track record of engagement in the scholarship of learning and teaching
Appointment to this role will be subject to successful completion of an academic qualification check
