Child Protection Practitioner
We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in supporting children in out-of-home care by recruiting, training and assessing foster and kinship carers.
As a practitioner, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with carers, families and community partners to provide a safe and nurturing environment for every child.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Recruit, train and assess foster and kinship carers
* Provide supervision and guidance to carers
* Build and maintain positive relationships with carers and their families
* Deliver training programs and facilitate carer learning and development
* Maintain accurate documentation and participate in after-hours on-call roster
This is an exciting opportunity for skilled practitioners who want to make a difference in the lives of children and young people.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Social Work, Human Services or a related field and hold a current Blue Card, Licensed Care Service and Queensland Driver Licence. A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable but not required.
About the Role
You will work closely with caseloads across the local region and attend regular meetings in Roma, QLD. The role requires semi-regular overnight travel to Roma, QLD, with an ASQ vehicle provided for travel purposes only and travel allowance provided.
