We are currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care services at the Cooma Correctional Centre.
To be eligible to apply, you must have:
* Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* At least one full year of experience working as a Registered Nurse.
Our Location
Cooma Correctional Centre is a minimum-security facility located in the Snowy Monaro region of NSW, just over an hour from Canberra. Set in the scenic town of Cooma, known for its strong community and access to the Snowy Mountains, the centre focuses on inmate rehabilitation and reintegration. It offers a unique opportunity to build a meaningful career in corrections while enjoying a relaxed regional lifestyle and year-round outdoor activities.
The Role
We're currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least one full year of nursing experience.
The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.
