WelloKids is a privately‐owned, community‐oriented centre with two locations in Wellington Point 4160. Our centre provides a stimulating, nurturing and safe setting for children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten. Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Qualified Educator to join our team. This role requires a confident, professional, and motivated Educator with the ability to work within a team workplace and have a robust work ethic and initiative.
Qualifications
* Australian citizen or resident
* Holder of a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent (or willingness to study)
* Valid Blue Card, Current First Aid (inclusive of Asthma & Anaphylaxis emergency management) and CPR, or willingness to acquire these within one month of commencement
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an Educator role and proficiency in the role
* Ability to work 5‐8 hour shifts on a rotating roster between 6.30am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday
* Working knowledge of the NQF, QKLG, EYLF and current industry best practices
* Computer literacy, particularly in word processing, with the ability to learn recent programming software quickly and competently
* Leadership qualities, ability to motivate and inspire staff, and exercise good interpersonal skills at all levels
* Understanding of obligations as a mandatory reporter
* Skills to create a friendly, caring, stimulating and active learning environment
* Genuine interest in promoting children's learning and well‐being
Experience & Skills
Previous experience as an Educator for a minimum of three years and proficiency in the role. The ability to create engaging learning activities and maintain a positive learning environment is essential.
Salary & Hours
Job Types: Part‐time, Casual. Salary: $22.00 – $40.00 per hour.
