We're looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Cardiff Service Centre in Australia. If you're ready to take your career to the next level, keep reading!
What You\'ll Be Doing
* As a Mechanical Fitter, your daily responsibilities will include:
* Mechanical repair of LV, MV, and HV electrical rotating machinery such as electric motors
* Replacing or repairing worn or defective mechanical assemblies like shafts, gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearing fits.
* Balancing mechanical assemblies using energetic balancing equipment.
* Conducting mechanical repairs on shafts, journals, and housings.
* Correctly requisitioning items from stores/purchasing, as approved by your Supervisor.
* Cleaning electromechanical equipment assemblies using various methods (parts washers, steamers, caustic tanks, grit blasters, etc.)
What You\'ll Bring to Sulzer
* To succeed in this role, you\'ll ideally have:
* Trade Certificate III Fitter & Turner or similar.
* Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting large equipment such as electric motors
* A forklift license.
* A customer service focus with adaptability.
* Solid time management skills.
