The Buncha Hotel is on the hunt for a passionate, motivated and enthusiastic type to join our team in the role of a Cooks/Chefs.
Duties will consist of but not be limited to the following key areas:
· Assist the head chef with planning, preparing, cooking and presenting food as per business standards;
· Manage kitchen operations;
· Ensure that the food produced is as per the menu and according to individual dietary requirements and any food allergens and tolerances;
· Collaborate with the kitchen team to continuously improve menu items and the overall dining experience;
· Support the smooth running of the kitchen;
· Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies and liaise with front of house team;
· Maintain kitchen equipment, work areas and general supplies to assist with established health and safety standards and regulations; and,
· May train other kitchen staff, if required.
THE PERSON
The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
· Professional work ethics with effective communication and time management skills;
· Ensure efficient service;
· Be reliable
· Hold a Food Safety Certificate; and,
· Have a minimum of one (1) years' experience in a similar role.
· Candidates with relevant qualifications are highly regarded, or alternatively, must have sufficient experience in lieu of qualifications.
