Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced nurse educator to support our Special Care Nursery at a private hospital in Westmead. This role involves delivering high-quality training and development programs to staff, contributing to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department, and performing team leader duties on shift.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical nurse educator to join a dynamic team and make a positive impact on patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs across the facility, providing valuable contributions to the hospital's quality improvement process, and delivering high-quality evidence-based care to neonates and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, evidence-based training and support to staff in the Special Care Nursery.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs across the facility.
* Provide valuable contributions to the hospital's quality improvement process.
* Carry out team leader duties on shift.
Requirements:
* A trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum 4 years' experience in neonatal nursing.
* Post graduate qualification in specialty area desirable.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
* Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional.
* Team leading experience.
* Possess excellent time management skills and well-developed clinical problem-solving skills.
* A passion for mentoring team members and positively influencing their performance.
