Executive Director of Academic Programs (Part Time)
About the Role
* This is a senior administrative position without direct reports but with operational duties and national involvement with the recruitment and scheduling of industry-astute faculty, the forward-thinking coordination of subjects, the incisive review and enhancement of curriculum, and the monitoring of student success metrics with interventions promptly activated.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the relevance and currency of the discipline's curriculum by engaging in ongoing research and professional development.
* Lead and engage a faculty that exceeds 100 educators across six campuses, providing coaching and guidance to ensure their growth and success.
* Prioritize student-centredness across all facets of teaching and learning, fostering an environment that supports academic excellence and student well-being.
* Collaborate proactively on interdisciplinary and cross-functional initiatives, driving innovation and improvement within the organization.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional industry accreditations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.
Requirements
* A master's degree in a relevant field of education, preferably with experience in educational leadership or management.
* Membership of a professional body such as the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) or the National College of Education Leadership (NCEL).
* Significant experience as a teacher and subject coordinator in a higher education context, with a proven track record of achieving excellent results.
* Recent professional experience as a practitioner in a related sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of current trends and best practices.
