Azooa is preparing a response to
RFQTS ***** (NMP*****)
and is seeking Expressions of Interest from an experienced
Linux Systems Engineer
to support a major uplift of the
HQOTM Mission Partner Environment (MPE)
for the Directorate of Deployed-ICT (D-ICT), Joint Capabilities Group.
This highly specialised, long-term role contributes directly to the ADF's operational readiness and deployed coalition information-sharing capabilities.
About the Directorate – D-ICT
D-ICT sustains and evolves deployed ICT capabilities across the ADF, supporting environments including:
These systems underpin
400+ deployed nodes
and
800+ terminals
used in operational contexts where reliability, security and speed are essential.
Role Overview – Linux Software Engineer / Linux Systems Engineer
This position forms part of a
small, expert engineering team
conducting a production uplift of the HQOTM MPE capability.
You will be responsible for Linux system development, hardening, automation, node deployment, configuration management, and Level 3 operational support.
This role is designated
Key Personnel
for the duration of the contract.
Responsibilities
Design & document the HQOTM MPE node
Provide technical review & guidance on interfacing systems
Develop & maintain Linux-based software components
Integrate and enhance existing Linux applications
Provide
Level 3 support
for operational systems
Maintain baselines, software lists, SOPs & BLIs
Implement a robust patch management plan aligned with Army baselines
Develop training material & deliver knowledge transfer
Performance Measures
?? >90% incident & problem resolution within SLA
? >90% artefact acceptance on first submission
8+ years software development experience
Linux OS software engineering
Strong technical documentation capability
Ability to provide technical advice aligned with mission and business requirements
Preferred but Not Essential
Systems engineering methodologies
Defence Capability Lifecycle knowledge
Experience with Windows SOE development (advantageous only)
