EOI - Project Accountant/Cost Controller – Engineering & Construction Division
Monadelphous is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Project Accountants/Cost Controllers to support major construction projects scheduled to commence mid‑2026. This role will be Perth‑office based, working closely with the project team throughout both planning and delivery. You will play a critical part in providing financial oversight for a high‑profile, large‑scale project, ensuring accurate cost control, forecasting, reporting and compliance.
Salary: A$75,000.00‑A$100,000.00

Key Responsibilities
* Manage project accounting activities, including cost tracking, invoicing, progress claims and budget review.
* Develop and maintain control budgets and estimates aligned with project scope and work breakdown structures.
* Prepare accurate and timely project cost reports, including forecasting, cost performance evaluations and variance analysis.
* Perform Earned Value Management (EVM), including Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
* Review, assess and support cost change management including variations and claims.
* Coordinate with Project Managers and Commercial Managers to ensure accurate reporting and financial insight for decision‑making.
* Prepare month‑end accounting activities such as accruals, provisions, allocations and cost transfers.
* Provide financial leadership and guidance to the wider project team.
* Prepare monthly management reports and present outcomes to senior stakeholders.
What you'll bring
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
* CPA or CMA certification (preferred)
* 3+ years of experience in project accounting / cost control role in a construction environment
* Strong knowledge of accounting / cost control principles and practices
* Experience with project accounting software and ERP systems
* Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
* InEight experience highly regarded
