The Opportunity
Xenco Services is seeking an experienced Process Trainer to support a major mining operation by improving capability, compliance, and consistency across there open pit mining activities.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced open pit trainer with strong hands-on knowledge of production equipment such as excavators, loaders, haul trucks, and ancillary mining equipment. You will play a key role in onboarding, upskilling, and verifying competency of production personnel, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent execution of open pit activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality training and competency assessments for open pit mining operators
* Develop, review, and update SOPs, training materials, and competency frameworks for mobile mining equipment
* Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring across dig, load, haul, and dump activities
* Support onboarding and Verification of Competency (VOC) processes for employees and contractors
* Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training and development programs
* Maintain accurate training, VOC, and competency records in line with site and regulatory requirements
* Work closely with operations leadership, safety, and training teams to drive continuous improvement and safe production outcomes
About You
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
* Strong operational experience in open pit mining operations
* Proven capability across production equipment such as excavators, loaders, haul trucks, and support equipment
* Previous experience in training delivery, competency assessment, or SOP development within a mining environment
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage operators and supervisors at all levels
* Safety-focused mindset with a genuine passion for coaching and developing people
