Job Overview
The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in the finance team, providing strategic financial insights and supporting business objectives.
* Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accurate data-driven decision-making
* Assist with the month-end close process and ensure timely and precise financial reporting to stakeholders
* Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial information with overall business strategy and drive growth
* Support the development and maintenance of financial models and systems to enhance operational efficiency
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects and special initiatives as required, leveraging expertise to drive results
Requirements
* A qualified accountant with 2+ years' experience in a similar management accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing or mining environment
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, and a professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to drive business performance
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and drive informed decisions
* Proficient in the use of financial software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel, to streamline tasks and improve productivity
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure
