Join us in a role where you’ll make a real impact—through projects that shape a cleaner, greener future.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a practical, hands-on Site Engineer to join our team at Swanbank—a key landfill and resource recovery site for REMONDIS. This role offers a rare mix of fieldwork and office-based project coordination (50/50 split), and is ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a willingness to get involved in a wide range of engineering tasks.You don’t need previous experience in the waste industry, but you do need to be comfortable with the realities of working in an industrial environment—including regular time on a landfill site and collaborating with operations staff on the ground.We welcome engineers from Civil, Environmental, Structural, Industrial or Mechanical backgrounds who have a flexible attitude, an eye for detail, and enjoy working across diverse projects and teams.What You’ll Be DoingWork across a variety of waste and resource recovery projectsConduct site investigations, liaise with operations staff, and gather field dataPerform waste analysis, prepare technical reports, and support documentationDevelop and implement project solutions alongside our technical and environmental teamsContribute to safety, compliance, and environmental monitoringAssist in the development of new techniques for waste treatment and managementCommunicate with stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teamsBalance on-site presence (50%) with office-based planning and reporting (50%)What We’re Looking ForEngineering qualificationOperations or on-site experience (any industry) preferredStrong communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindsetAttention to detail and strong organisational skillsAble to work across multiple projects and stakeholdersValid driver’s licence—must be able to travel to siteNo waste industry experience required—but you must be comfortable working in a landfill andindustrial settingSolid reporting and documentation capabilitiesWhy You’ll Love It HerePurposeful Work – Help deliver sustainable outcomes for the environment and communityReal Variety – From boots-on-the-ground site work to strategic project planningTeam Collaboration – Work with supportive experts across technical and operations teamsCareer Growth – National exposure and long-term development opportunitiesBalance – Enjoy a mix of field and office work with autonomy to own your roleAre you with us?
